Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) for Reaffirmation of Accreditation

Columbia State Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). See accreditation link for more information about the college's accreditation. As part of its decennial reaffirmation of accreditation, the college is required to identify, develop, and implement a Quality Enhancement Plan that focuses on improving a targeted aspect of student learning and/or student success. This initiative is intended to be a long-term commitment (assessed in a follow-up report to SACSCOC at the five-year mark) and lead to lasting improvement in the quality of higher education at the college.

SACSCOC requires that the QEP:

  1. has a topic identified through its ongoing, comprehensive planning and evaluation processes;
  2. has broad-based support of institutional constituencies;
  3. focuses on improving specific student learning outcomes and/or student success;
  4. commits resources to initiate, implement, and complete the QEP;
  5. includes a plan to assess achievement

Columbia State Community College is a member of the Fall 2022 cohort for reaffirmation and will host an onsite visit with a SACSCOC reaffirmation committee from October 3-6, 2022.
