Hometown: Leoma, Tennessee

Year: 2025

Major: Associate of Science

Leoma resident and Tennessee Promise student Kade Shultz earned his general transfer/university parallel Associate of Science degree in 2025. During his time at Columbia State, Shultz served as a student assistant for the Chargers baseball program, where he developed strong relationships with coaches and campus staff. He plans to continue his education to become a high school social studies teacher.

“Columbia State prepared me well,” Shultz said. “The people I came in contact with, whether that was through baseball with my coaches, or through academics and the campus director at Lawrence County, they just allowed me to get one step closer and allowed me to get through the last couple of years. So, I'm thankful for that.”
