Columbia State Welcomes New Foundation Board Members

The Columbia State Foundation Board is pleased to announce Charlie Brinkley, Chad Williams, Michael White, Brandon Whiteside, Tyler Berry and Ryan Durham as new Foundation board members.

“Our new board members have significant experience in their chosen professions, have served their communities in numerous capacities, and support opportunities for quality education,” said Bethany Lay, Columbia State vice president for advancement and executive director of the Columbia State Foundation.

“Their willingness to serve and the skills they bring will add to the strength of the foundation and its support of Columbia State,” said Mike Keny, Columbia State Foundation chair.

Charlie Brinkley

 

Charlie Brinkley serves as the chief administrative officer for Maury Regional Health System. He joined the organization in July 2021 and has approximately 22 years of experience in accounting and hospital financial services. He is a member of Financial Management Association and American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Brinkley lives with his family in Columbia.

Chad Williams

Chad Williams is the senior vice president and agency manager for Redman-Davis Insurance in Columbia. After finishing his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, he obtained his master’s degree in business at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Williams is involved in the Kiwanis Club of Columbia, serves as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of South-Central Tennessee and as a Deacon/Treasurer in his church. Williams and his family live in Spring Hill.

Michael White
Michael White

 

Michael White spent the last 25 years of his career as the national sales manager for the Moon Pencil Company in Lewisburg. He participated in the original JR Moon Golf Classic , which just celebrated its 25th year continuing to raise support for Columbia State. He is active with the First Farmers Performance Series and within the community. He lives in Columbia with his spouse.

Brandon Whiteside
Brandon Whiteside

 

Brandon Whiteside is the executive director of Life Care Center of Columbia. He has a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Austin Peay State University and 13 years of experience in senior health care. He is a member of Columbia Noon Rotary. Whiteside lives with his family in Chapel Hill.

Tyler Berry

Tyler Berry

 

Tyler Berry is a senior managing director of investments with B. Riley Wealth Management in Franklin. He has over two decades of financial experience and extensive experience in real estate development and investment, and non-profit board work. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama. Berry has served on several boards in the past including Battle Ground Academy, Day Seven Ministries and Leadership Franklin. He is also currently on the board of Mount Hope Cemetery. Berry lives with his spouse in Franklin.

Ryan Durham

Ryan Durham is an attorney with the law office of Boston, Holt & Durham in Lawrenceburg. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee and his Bachelor of Science from Middle Tennessee State University. He served as Student Regent, by gubernatorial appointment, on Tennessee Board of Regents. He is involved in many local and state organizations including past chair of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility and chairing the Tennessee Council on Development Disabilities by gubernatorial appointment. Durham and his family live in Lawrenceburg.

Columbia State Foundation board members serve three-year terms and represent leaders from across the nine-county service area.
