Leadership Maury Endows Scholarship Through Columbia State Foundation
The Columbia State Community College Foundation recently received an endowment from the Leadership Maury Class of 2022 for a scholarship.
“When members of the Leadership Maury Class of 2022 brought forward the idea of creating an endowed scholarship, we were delighted to assist them,” said Bethany Lay, Columbia State vice president for advancement and executive director of the Columbia State Foundation. “Personally, I was glad to be a part as I am a Leadership Maury alum.”
As part of their class project, members of Leadership Maury Class of 2022 were determined to establish a scholarship to support and encourage students residing in Maury County in continuing their education. Other alums of Leadership Maury and friends joined with them to accomplish this goal.
The scholarship was created to assist Maury County residents with financial need and with a focus on those that might have a documented disability.
“I encourage anyone who would like to help in this effort to go to Columbia State's website and give online or contact my office at 931-540-2512,” Lay said.
The Columbia State Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports and partners with the college to positively impact student success and the communities in which it serves. For more information, visit www.ColumbiaState.edu/Foundation.
