(COLUMBIA, Tenn.  May 4, 2020) - - - Columbia State Community College is offering an admissions recruiter hotline through Zoom for individuals with questions about applying to Columbia State and those wanting to learn more about the college’s academic programs.

Although college faculty and staff are working remotely, admissions recruiters are still available to work with students digitally.

“The admissions team at Columbia State understands the uncertainty and challenges facing the community during the COVID-19 crisis,” said Jill Riley, Columbia State chief enrollment services officer and director of admissions. “We are transitioning to virtual experiences to assist prospective students and their families. We are excited to offer a recruiter hotline, which is a virtual space where students can drop in to ask questions about admissions, academic programs and enrollment.”

Recruiters are available Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to answer your questions. Visit www.ColumbiaState.edu/Admissions-Hotline for more information.

In addition, adult learners can sign up for a Tennessee Reconnect virtual information session. Tennessee Reconnect is a last-dollar scholarship that allows eligible adults to attend Columbia State tuition-free. For more information, visit www.ColumbiaState.edu/Reconnect.

New and returning students who have not yet applied to Columbia State must submit an application by May 15 for the summer semester and by August 16 for the fall semester. A returning student is someone who has previously attended Columbia State, but is not currently enrolled.

The summer semester begins June 1, with a second summer term slated to begin July 6. Fall semester classes start August 24.

At this time, summer classes will be limited to online and live-streaming courses only. College officials continue to monitor the latest news and recommendations from public health officials regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. On-ground classes may be added to the summer schedule at a later date. We anticipate Fall 2020 sections will be offered in an array of delivery methods.
