J.R. Moon Golf Tournament Winners Announced

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - June 6, 2014) - - - Columbia State Community College hosted the Rogers Group, Inc. 18th Annual J.R. Moon Golf Classic yesterday at the Saddle Creek Golf Club in Lewisburg.

"Putting on this golf tournament is truly a team effort," said Elizabeth McDow, director of the Lewisburg campus. "With the help of our current J.R. Moon scholars, golf committee members, donors and golfers, we are able to support the students of Marshall County."

More than 120 golfers turned out for the tournament, which included putting and "Beat the Pro" contests. More than 75 sponsors and donors showed their support, including Rogers Group Inc., title sponsor; First National Bank, lunch sponsor; First Farmers Bank, putting contest sponsor; Roberts Toyota, hole-in-one contest sponsor; First Commerce Bank, player gift bag sponsor; Calsonic Kansei, cart sponsor; and Lewisburg Printing, "Beat the Pro" contest sponsor. Other sponsors include Saddle Creek Golf Club and PepsiCo.

Since its inception, proceeds from the tournament have provided scholarships to more than 165 students attending the Lewisburg campus.
