WOMEN COMPOSERS THROUGH THE AGES LECTURE TO BE PRESENTED AT COLUMBIA STATE
Event Free and Open To Community
Columbia State Community College's Lyceum Committee will host a lecture presented by Emily Gaskill, the assistant professor of music at Columbia State titled "Women Composers Through The Ages" on Wednesday, February 17 at 2:15 p.m. in room 140 of the Waymon L. Hickman building.
"I think people will be enlightened by this lecture because our Music Appreciation and Music History classes typically do not feature many women composers," said Gaskill. "My goal is to introduce the audience to some composers that they might not have heard of before."
Gaskill will discuss women composers spanning from the medieval period through the 20th century. This event is free and open to the public.
