New Trustees Elected At June 3 Meeting

The Columbia State Community College Foundation elected new officials during their summer board meeting which was held on Wednesday, June 3. Maury County's Lonnie Roberts, chief executive officer for Tennessee Rural Health, was elected Foundation chair and Williamson County's Dr. Ken Moore, vice mayor of the City of Franklin and retired orthopedic surgeon, was elected Foundation vice chair.

New trustees were also elected during the meeting. The trustees elected for the 2009-2012 term are as follows:

Hickman County's Ms. Johnnie Ruth Elrod is the owner and operator of the Town Crier gift shop in Centerville. Elrod is also member of the Hickman County Advisory Board for First Farmers and Merchants Bank and is a director on the Hickman County Chamber of Commerce.

Marshall County's Will Wilson is the director of materials for Cosmolab in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Wilson is also a director for the Marshall County Education Foundation and a volunteer for the Columbia State James R. Moon Golf Tournament.

Maury County's Jimmy Langsdon is the president and owner of Columbia Machine Works, Inc. Langsdon, a participant for Leadership Middle Tennessee, and a director of the Maury Alliance, is also a volunteer with the Boy Scouts.

Williamson County's Pearl Bransford is vice president and director of nursing at Claiborne & Hughes Health Center Inc., alderman at large for the City of Franklin and served 11 years on the Franklin Special School District Board of Education. Bransford is also on the Capital Investment Committee, Public Safety and Recreation Committee and the Finance, Administrative and Community Development Committee.

Williamson County's Paul Gaddis Sr. is the professor of Corporate Strategy, and former dean at the Graduate Management School of the University of Texas, Dallas. Gaddis served as director of overseas investment, and later as vice president of corporate development for a Fortune 100 top-20 company. He is a member of the Franklin Breakfast Rotary, Educational Excellence Committee and Franklin Special School District.

Giles County's Patrick Gilbert is vice president for First National Bank in Pulaski and director with Hillside Hospital and a licensed insurance agent. In the past, Gilbert has been the director for the Pulaski Housing Authority and director for the Pulaski Boys and Girls Club.

The new trustees will begin serving their three-year term on July 1.
