Recent Columbia State Student Events
In addition to Columbia State Community College providing a high quality learning environment for students, there are also several events that they have the opportunity to participate in.

CAPTION (above): The Columbia State Community College Choir follows the direction of Choir Director and Assistant Professor of Music, Emily Gaskill as they rehearse for the "End of Semester Choral Program" which will take place on Thursday, April 22 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. in Ledbetter Auditorium. Marilyn Adams will provide piano accompaniment during the program as the choir pays tribute to the folk song. The program is free and open to the public.
CAPTION (below): The seven to nine year old age group at "Ann Carrol School of Dance, Song and Dance Company" perform "The Little Mermaid" at a benefit held at Columbia State Community College's Williamson County Campus on to raise money for a non-smoking landscaped picnic area at the Franklin location. Columbia State's Commercial Entertainment students also performed during the show.
CAPTION (below): Students in Assistant Professor Glenn Hudson's Physical Science 1030 class at Columbia State Community College investigated common rocks and minerals while on an earth science field trip to Blue Water Creek outside of Loretto, TN on Friday, April 9. "The trip was an excellent opportunity to engage students in more than just classroom activities," said Hudson. "It allowed them to go out into nature and investigate rocks and minerals that have been present in that area for millions of years. They captured not only the science but also the history of the specimens we found."
