This event is hosted by Columbia State Community College in collaboration with the African American Heritage Society of Maury County as part of our ongoing theme, "Democracy in America."

Join us for an engaging discussion on a topic of utmost importance, as we explore the intricacies of the Electoral College and the Popular Vote in the context of the upcoming 2024 Presidential election.

Our distinguished panel of experts includes:

  1. Dr. Mark R. Cheathem - Cumberland University professor of history and editor of the Martin Van Buren Papers.
  2. Dr. Michael P. Federici - Professor of political science at Middle Tennessee State University.
  3. Attorney Rhonda D. Hooks - Practicing attorney with expertise in church, criminal, and juvenile law.
  4. Dr. John R. Vile - Dean and professor of political science at Middle Tennessee State University.
