Schedule An Advising Appointment Now!

Are you on the right path to graduate?
If you haven't met with your advisor yet, it's time to review your plan now! Students who meet with their advisor are more likely to be successful and graduate on time! Schedule an online appointment with your advisor through Navigate.

Do I need to meet with my advisor?
If you are a first-time freshman, or a transfer student with less than 24 credit hours, and have no other holds to prevent registration, you will be assigned to a College Success Advisor within 72 hours of completing your orientation. Your advisor will appear in Navigate under "My Success Team" and you will be able to make an appointment using the Navigate application (please note, appointment scheduling requires 24-hours notice).

If you do not see an assigned College Success Advisor within 72 hours of completion of orientation, please email ChargerCenter@ColumbiaState.edu from your Columbia State email address, and include your legal name and A#.

If you are a transfer student with 24 or more accrued credit hours, you are not required to complete orientation, and you will be assigned to a faculty advisor in your program of study.

All students are encouraged to contact their advisor if they are uncertain of what to take or have issues relating to the completion of the semester. For more detailed information about advising, visit Advising Services.

Need help finding your advisor?
Your advisor can be found in Navigate under "My Success Team." You can also find your assigned advisor on the Student tab in myChargerNetUnder "Student Services," click the "My Advisor" icon.

How do I meet with my advisor?
Virtual advising sessions are available online through Navigate. Visit the Navigate webpage to learn more.

What if my advisor doesn't have appointments set up in Navigate?
If you don't find your assigned advisor in Navigate, you can use your Columbia State email account to reach out to your advisor with any questions and to arrange a virtual meeting via phone, Zoom or other platforms.
